About jOLIE

Born and raised in Miami, FL, to a Cuban immigrant father and a French-Canadian mother, Jolie grew up immersed in a world of diverse cultures, traditions, and—most importantly—food. In her family, meals were more than just nourishment; they were a way to bring everyone together, a symbol of love and connection.

Jolie’s passion for food and wellness was sparked early on, spending summers in her grandmother’s kitchen, kneading dough for homemade bread and carefully selecting ingredients at local markets with her. But it was her deep-seated desire to help others that led her into the field of healthcare. She earned a degree in psychology from Florida International University before obtaining her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, believing that medicine was the best way to make a difference in people’s lives.

After years of working as a pharmacist in retail and hospital settings, she began to question the system she was a part of. Her patients were on countless medications while continuing to consume an inflammatory, ultra-processed diet. Why did each new prescription seem to require another to manage side effects? The more she saw, the more she realized—something was missing in the traditional medical model.

Her perspective shifted entirely in 2020 when she faced her own health crisis. Struggling with unexplained inflammation, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and sudden hormonal imbalances, she turned to conventional doctors for answers—only to feel dismissed and offered a standard, one-size-fits-all solution: hormonal birth control. Unsatisfied with this approach, she took matters into her own hands, diving deep into research on holistic healing, nutrition, and lifestyle factors that impact female hormones.

After extensive testing and consultations, she was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, a rare endocrine disorder where cortisol levels are elevated due to a purported tumor on the pituitary gland. She was told surgery was the only option. Despite her hesitation, she underwent an invasive neurosurgery in June 2021—only to be told afterward that the surgery was “unsuccessful”. Feeling defeated yet determined, she expanded her search for answers beyond Western medicine.

Through studying Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and functional nutrition, she discovered that her health issues were largely stress-related, exacerbated by long work shifts, poor dietary and lifestyle choices, and nervous system dysregulation. After seeking alternative opinions, she learned she had been misdiagnosed and had undergone unnecessary surgery. This realization was life-changing.

Jolie emerged from this experience with a new mission: to help others avoid the same struggles she had endured. She became an expert in holistic nutrition, stress management, and functional medicine, integrating both scientific and ancient healing modalities. She now works with clients to uncover the root cause of their health concerns—whether hormonal imbalances, gut dysfunction, or chronic inflammation—and empowers them to heal naturally, using food as medicine, lifestyle modifications, and targeted supplementation.

Jolie believes that most modern “diseases” stem from stress, environmental toxins, and gut imbalances. Through personalized guidance, functional lab testing, and an emphasis on the mind-body connection, she helps clients restore balance and achieve optimal well-being—without relying on pharmaceuticals or an invasive surgery as a first-line approach.

Currently based in Miami, FL, Jolie enjoys traveling, yoga, cooking nourishing meals, and spending time in nature. She finds immense joy in guiding others on their healing journeys, helping them reclaim their health, and ultimately, their vitality.
